Project Title : Tamar Medjool

 

Concept Statement : The idea of dates stems from the inspiration of always receiving dates on being welcomed by friends and family  whenever I arrive at any friend’s home in Dubai. Therefore this pavilion also stands to symbolically welcome everyone whole heartedly with a sense of openness. BioMimicry is explored in the concept with the differential growth formation that occurs on the skin of the dates. Regenerative design is attempted by inviting a herb garden as part of the space to create a multi sensory experience.
