Sound Installation Art

 

This is an art installation across 4 cities  - Porto [Portugal] , the island of La Plata [Colombia] , Manizales [Colombia] , Barcelona [Spain - in collaboration with IAAC ] 
This is installation was from the city of barcelona , therefore representing the city. Sounds from a few identifiable 
locations of Barcelona was recorded on site from a microphone. A map of the city was drawn on a canvas which was to act as an interactive membrane. As the observer interacted with this membrane walking through the city by brushing their hand over the membrane, the piezo sensors on the other side of the membrane was activated according to each location the user touched. The sensors were connected to an amplifier which played the recorded sounds from the city, hence, giving the experience of being in that location.
A live experience of this installation was being broadcast through live streaming in the location of the exhibition in Colombia from Barcelona.
